Advanced meters now in 120,000 Christchurch Homes |

More than 120,000 Christchurch homes and businesses have now had old electricity meters replaced with the latest innovative metering technology .
The new meters, known colloquially as advanced or smart meters, have been developed and installed by Arc Innovations, a Christchurch based leader in the development, deployment and management of advanced meter infrastructure (AMI) technology and services.

 It's been a busy and turbulent few years for advanced metering provider Arc Innovations.
Arc is one of Meridian Energy's wholly-owned subsidiaries and over the last two and a half years it has rolled out some 115,000 smart meters in Christchurch and 6,000 meters in Central Hawkes Bay, all to Meridian retail customers. It also has deployed 9000 legacy prepayment meters spread around the country.
